Another “week” has come to an end, at least for the team. I don’t really feel like this will be a well deserved and relaxing weekend, just yet. It doesn’t happen often that I feel like I’m starting into the weekend on Fridays at all to be honest. It is just the day before Saturday, the day before family day, the day before a long(er) bike ride… Sunday’s are my weekend days.

This week, I had to fight to align my short term with my long term goals. …

A new week, new chances. Monday’s are my strong days. I love to get right back into business, get stuff done and work on what motivates me most.

Yes, you heard that right: work on what motivates me most.

The good news is that I get to control my own agenda (most) Mondays.

As the week progresses, it becomes increasingly difficult for me to own my agenda. There are many distractions and many things that need to get done.

As a result, I feel like I may be overwhelmed…

Travel week, it is all about balance

I love these weeks. Travel weeks are the ones in which I get a lot done. I do have to admit that I wasn’t really looking forward to it this weekend. There’s just so much I have to do at the moment and an incredible amount of speed at which things are being executed around me. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up.

But I have to say I also love these weeks. Now that I am in my hotel room I am glad that I am here. There are so many cool things in this room by the way…

Diary of an entrepreneur, by Remco Livain, September 3, 2021

An entrepreneur has the challenge of choice. You can do so many things at the same time, you need to figure out where to put your focus. Most people try to work on their client tasks during the week, with the idea that this is when they are most productive.

There are so many things you could do, work on and get done. Some activities, on the other hand, need innovative and creative thinking.

I have switched that order around and it has worked out pretty well for me…

Diary of an entrepreneur: introduction and my daily thoughts on the topic of focus.

Why am I so nervous about the lack of GDPR compliance in our contracts this morning? It was not requested for, and there is presently no pressing need to act.

Still, it is something that kept me up last night and I woke up with a funny feeling, knowing that I should address it first thing, today.

For whatever reason, this topic has come on my radar and become into focus.

Why it happened, I…

Setting social media strategy can be daunting for any brand. Here are some tips and tricks on how to create social media strategy that works, by not being too corporate or boring.

Social Media is the key marketing channel for any brand. It’s where you build your community and following — but it’s also a lot more than just “a social space”. The channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn — they’re all about building relationships with people who care about what you do.

These days social media has become an essential tool in every company’s arsenal because it allows them…

I recently discovered and am fascinated by it. It is such a powerful tool that makes my life so much better. Read, and listen to, the Otter recording and transcript below.

PS: I didn’t change a single word in the transcription.

Otter is absolutely amazing, just listen to the audio file and read through the text below.

Otter AI transcription of my recording

Hey guys, I absolutely love otter AI, it’s one of the tools that I’ve just recently found out about, and it solves so many problems for me that I don’t even know where to start. First of all, I write quite a…

It is the least visual and interactive social media platform. It is the slowest to adopt new technologies and features. The engagement rates are some of the worst per post of any social media player out there. Still millions of users flock to Twitter every day for the latest news and updates.

The community might be more vibrant than ever, possibly due to the covid-19 pandemic. In fact, Twitter even managed to turn a profit in the last quarter. So why would the “social news site” seek out new ways to make money off of its users, you might ask…

I have been using Slack for a great number of years. But today I discovered a simple feature, that I would have loved to know more about quite some time ago: Slack Posts.

A Slack Post can be created on any desktop device, using a simple /post command. It creates a document, that lives in Slack, can be shared within a channel and edited by all of those who have access to it.

The beauty of the post feature is that it is seamless and intuitive to use. We use the communication tool for all of our meetings, and to…

Apple is about to drop a number of product updates this upcoming Tuesday. The odds are high that we will see new iPads and potentially a brand new iMac design.

The Cupertino tech giant‘s products are so good that the need for innovation is minimal. Tim Cook and his product development team take their time to „milk the market“ and do not seem eager to change that strategy.

The product line up remains narrow. The only real differentiator between Apple‘s iPhones are the size and color options. …
